Strategy Council

The institute's chair council consists of the following people:
  • The university's vice chancellor for research and technology will serve as the director
  • The university's vice chancellor for education and graduate studies 
  • The chair of the research institute will serve as the council's secretary
  • Four relevant experts will be chosen from among the university's academic faculty members, directors of research groups, or experts at the vice chancellor's recommendation and the university president's discretion.
Note: Two or more of the aforementioned four experts must be faculty member of the university.
 

Institute’s Director

The director of the institute will be a member of the university's faculty, chosen from among those proposed by the research council of the institute to the university's vice president of research and technology and appointed by the university president's decree for a two-year term, with the possibility of re-appointment.
Note: In the first selection, the director of the institute will be proposed to the university president by the vice president of research and technology of the university.
The number and titles of assistants and directors of the institute are determined based on the organization plan of the institute which is approved by the university. Assistants of the institute are appointed from among the permanent faculty members or collaborate of the Institute upon the proposal of the director of the Institute and the approval of the vice president of research and technology of the university and with the decree of the university president for a two-year period, and their re-appointment is unimpeded.
Note: Collaborating faculty members are the group of faculty members who cooperate with the institute in the form of joint affiliation regulations.


Research Council

The research institute's research council is consisting of the president, her/his vice presidents, the directors of research groups, and a representative from each research group's council.
 

Research Centers

The institute’s research centers will be in charge of conducting fundamental and applied research and creating interdisciplinary technologies in the relevant specialized areas. Furthermore, these centers will engage in the implementation of large-scale institute projects from a specialized standpoint.
The research centers of the institute at the beginning of its establishment are as follows:
  • Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
  • Center for Bioscience and Technology
  • Center for Information Systems and Data Science
  • Center for Cognitive Science
  • Center for Quantum Science and Technology
Note: The institute can develop new research centers based on the need and in compliance with the relevant rules and regulations. A new research center is proposed by the Research Council of the institute and after approval by the Strategy Council, it is referred to the University Research Council and the University Council for approval. Also, research centers can become research institutes if they expand their activities through the aforementioned steps.
The structure of each research center will include the director and the expert council of the center. The expert council of the center consists of permanent faculty members and collaborator.
The directors of research groups of the institute are selected from among the persons suggested by the expert council of the center to the director of the institute and are selected with the approval of the vice president of research and technology of the university and with the decree of the university president for a two-year period, and their re-appointment is unimpeded. The director of the center will be responsible for organizing the meetings of the expert council and also managing the participation of the center in the educational and research plans and programs of the institute.
